Below are the issue dates for the previous revisions to the FSS Master Book:

2022: For 2022, the Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Master Book has been completely reworked and revised to account for the publication of the final rule, “Streamlining and Implementation of Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief, and Consumer Protection Act Changes to Family Self-Sufficiency Program,” which completely revised FSS regulatory requirements. In addition to these sweeping changes, the 2022 edition also includes the following revisions:

  • Clarifications regarding accounting and escrow requirements set forth Accounting Brief 26 and Notice PIH 2022-20
  • Updates to portability policies to better align with the regulations at 24 CFR 984.306, the guidance in Notice PIH 2016-8, and HUD’s FSS Final Rule FAQs
  • Other minor revisions and clarifications to ensure compliance

You must purchase a NMA Master Book in order to subscribe to the accompanying revision service. We can initiate a revision service as long as you purchase that revision service before a new revision has been issued. After a new revision is issued, you can initiate (or reinstate) for $189 plus a $75 reinstatement fee.
